The following article is from a friend of mine who happen to be a victim of snatch thief. Luckily she just let her bag goes without struggling with the motorcyclist.
With the recent price hike on petrol and hence snow ball effect on others goods and services, I belief the crime rate will surely climb too. So beware and be smart.
The following tips are from USA police but I belief it applies equally effective here in Malaysia.
1. Tip from police: The elbow is the strongest point on your body.If you are close enough to use it, do! 警方的提醒：手肘是身体最 有力的部位。距离够近，就善用手肘！
2. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....chances are that he is more interested in your Wallet and / or purse than you and he will go for the wallet or purse.RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! 假如歹徒向你要皮夹或钱包，不要递给他，而是将皮夹或钱包往远处丢去。歹徒很可能对财物比对你有兴趣，他会去拿皮夹或钱包，这是你逃跑的机会。往反方向拼命跑！！
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives. 假如你被丢进车子的后车厢： 把车后灯踢破，将你的手从洞中伸出去，用力挥手 驾驶 人看不到你，但是其他人看得到。这个方法救过无数人命.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their car after shopping,eating,working,etc., and just sit (doing their check book, or making a list, etc.) DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.女性常常在购物、吃饭及下班后进入车子，然后就坐在驾驶座上处理事情（如记帐、列清单等）。千万不要这么做！歹徒会藉机观察情势，闯入车内，拿枪威胁，控制你的行动。
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE. 进入车内，立即锁门，驶离 现场。
5 . A Few Notes About Getting Into Your Car In a Parking Lot,or Parking Garage: 在平面停车场及立体停车场的几个注意事项 ：
A. Be aware: look around you; look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. (And check out under the car as you approach.) 要警觉：环顾四周；察看车 内的乘客座和后座。（接近车子时，留意车底。）
B. If you're parked next to a big van you should enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars. 假如你的车子停在箱型车 旁，则应该从乘客车门进入你的车子。许多连续杀人犯都是趁着女性要进入车中时， 将她们拖进箱型车中加害。
C. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car,you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.) 观察停放在你左右两边的车 子。如果有男性单独坐在最近的邻车内，最好回到购物中心或办公室，找保全人员或警察陪你回去。宁愿防患未然，也不要终生遗憾。 ( 大惊小怪总比丧命好。 )
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone an the perfect crime spot). 永远搭电梯，不要走楼梯。 （楼梯间是一个可怕的地方，容易让人形单影只，变成 最好的犯罪场所。 )
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control,ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ, RUN! 假如歹徒有枪而你并没有受 到他的控制，一定要跑！一百次中，只有四次歹徒会袭击逃跑的目标；即使他攻击你，大多不会是致命的部位，要跑！
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women? He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim. 身为女性，我们总是发挥同情心：不要再这样！这样会增加被强暴或是杀害的机会。一个叫泰得 ．邦迪（ Ted Bundy ）的连续杀人犯就是一个相貌堂堂并且受过良好教育的人 ，总是利用女性的同情心。他走路时带着一根手杖或是跛行，经常要求别人 '帮忙 '他进 入车内或是看一下他的车子，趁机绑架受害者 。

What is this blog all about?
Firstly what is Stylo mean? Stylo means stylish and Stylo-mylo is occasionally used in context of describing modern time women.
Second the Mum means women but it does not specifically referring to a mother. We choose Stylo Mum instead of Stylo Women or Stylo Ladies because we belief you are eventually a mother to some lovely children, one way or another.
Thirdly Claptrap means Nonsense, Hogwash, Rubbish, Drivel, Twaddle, Baloney and Rot. Isn't that a paradox? A Stylo modern Mum but we all full of Nonsense and more.
What the hack! We are here to just write anything that we feel strongly about. In a way to release some steams, stresses (eating ice cream to release stresses is bad === Fat Fat)

Shiok Guy is a friend who setup this blog (technically) since we Stylo Mum has no time for Nonsense thing like HTML claptrap and others nerdy things.
